Christmas fair 2008

The Christmas Fair on 16 November raised £2396.68 for CHAS and was much enjoyed by nearly 600 visitors who also took advantage of a gloriously sunny day to enjoy a walk down to the sea or round the walled garden.

Over thirty stallholders attended this year, providing visitors with French wines, gourmet foods and top quality arts and crafts in addition to the now annual demonstrations by wood turner, Colin McKenzie, and a painter and potter from Griselda Hill Pottery in Ceres.

Entertainment was provided during the afternoon by Red Wine Productions, who recited humorous festive poetry and played some seasonal music in the drawing room.

The Christmas Fair in 2009 will be held on Sunday 15 November when the benefiting charity will be Maggie’s Fife.
