‘Notes’ by Joanna Foster
Washi paper, thread.
An Installation along Cambo river walk by Joanna Foster

Joanna Foster is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, practicing in Fife and has recently joined Ovenstone Artists. Current work in collage, screen print and site specific installation explores the theme of memory, loss, and the retrieved fragments of a journey.

‘In ‘Notes’ I have tied notes of paper to a continuous piece of thread where the thread wraps round the papers enough to hold them but lets them fall once it has turned around and untwisted itself. The notes fall from the line and float away, a loss of experience and a new journey beginning’. |
