Based very much on a 'snowdrop' theme, and to a lesser extent 'pigs', our Snowdrop Gift Shop is very much a showcase of cards and merchandise produced by craftspeople, many of them local, and we are fortunate enough to have several ranges which have been produced exclusively for Cambo Snowdrops.
We are constantly sourcing new items and our aim is to maintain a basic stock range interspersed with new and different items. The range varies from local hand-made and decorated pottery to fine bone china and enamelware, from specially commissioned tapestry and cross-stitch kits to hand-painted and sterling silver jewellery.
Our most recent exciting development with the shop is the introduction of a line of merchandise based on the beautiful botancial illustrations of E A Bowles (1865-1954), revered plantsman, artist and foremost expert on bulbous plants. The originals are in the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Lindley Library in London and they have granted us a licence to reproduce some of his beautiful snowdrops. We have already taken delivery of a series of cards and are currently having a tea towel and padblock designed and produced, with other projects in the pipeline.
The shop itself is open daily during the snowdrop season, to visitors to the house and garden during office hours Monday to Friday and of course on our website, although our website shop is still in process and does not currently show our entire collection.
