If you are a willing worker, then you will enjoy being part of the friendly, hardworking team at Cambo. Volunteers work for a minimum of one week, working a 35 hour week in exchange for accommodation and keep. SOCS – ‘Skilled Old Codgers’
Use your well-honed skills in conservation projects in this historic house. Wood preservation, book conservation, needlework, dry stone walling - the list is endless – as are the jobs! In return for 4 hours a day, Tuesday to Thursday, enjoy a free holiday.
PEGS – ‘Passionate Energetic Gardeners’
Bring your passion for gardening on holiday – get stuck in alongside the gardening team in return for 4 hours a day, Tuesday to Thursday, enjoy a free holiday.

Newly qualified as a gardener? Seeking a sandwich year placement?
- Gain valuable experiences and insights into what it means to develop and maintain a garden to the highest level.
- With a strong emphasis on planting design and plantsmanship be encouraged to explore and develop you own planting style.
- Become part of a small dedicated team and receive personalised tuition, gaining an excellent insight into the running and development of the garden.
