Cambo Estate

visit

From the depths of winter, with our national snowdrop collection and woodland walks to the height of summer with our golden beaches, walled garden and cafe, and world-renowned golf course, there is always a reason to visit Cambo.

Cambo Gardens

Cambo Gardens was established as a charity in 2015 to advance horticulture, heritage and the arts at Cambo Estate. Cambo’s stunning 2.5 acre walled garden dates from the 1800’s and the Gardens and Woodlands house a Plant Heritage national collection of snowdrops.

The Gardens are open 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm. Dogs on leads are welcome everywhere.

Stables café

Creative award-winning cooking from scratch. Open daily from 10am.

Cambo Gardens cafe, which was awarded runner-up 2022 in the Observer Food Monthly Awards, serves takeaway vegetarian and vegan friendly food.  Indoor and outdoor seating in our courtyard areas with a large covered area in our rear courtyard in case of bad weather. The cafe is dog friendly with treats and belly rubs for good behaviour!

The cafe is run by Gillian Veal (of Parlour Cafe in Dundee and The Parlour Cafe cookbook fame).  The menu changes daily but centres on a choice of soups, tortillas, filled focaccias, a range of mezze salads and homemade flatbreads and treats.

Cambo Woodlands

The ancient woodlands around Cambo Country House are a rich habitat for wildlife. Cambo Burn and a network of footpaths take you towards Cambo Sands and the North Sea.

Step onto a path and you’ll soon be immersed in a cacophony of murmuring water, birdsong, and the rhythm of your own footsteps upon the woodland floor. You may even stumble upon a Magic Door and a fairy or two along the way…

Golf Links

Golf has been enjoyed over the links land of Kingsbarns since 1793. Now a Worldwide Top 50 ranked course, Kingsbarns Golf Links stretches along 1.8 miles of coastline, each hole embracing glorious views of the sea.

Distillery

Formerly a farm building that serviced Cambo House and Estate, this handsome Georgian farmsteading has been lovingly converted into a 5 star distillery and visitor centre by the Wemyss family.

Cambo Sands

Cambo’s lush woodland gives way to a magnificent two mile stretch of sandy beach, backed by extensive sand dunes.

Explore the rock pools, feel the sand between your toes or even venture in for a swim if you’re feeling brave. Warm up afterwards with a feast at the celebrated Cheesy Toast Shack, tucked behind dunes. Whatever you do, Cambo Sands is a delight whether the tide is in or out.
